Beechmont Kids
Our Beechmont Kids ministry takes seriously the command to “tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, the wonders that he has done” so that they might “set their hope in God” (Psalm 78:4, 7). We aim to do this through a variety of means.
Worship Service/Children’s Church
On Sunday mornings, the kids are encouraged to stay with their parents for the entirety of our service where we sing praises to God, read Scripture, pray, and hear God’s Word taught. We do offer a children’s church option during the sermon each week except the first Sunday of the month. For any parents wanting to exercise this option, the kids are dismissed right before the sermon to go and learn together from some of our children’s leaders. So, whether you decide to keep your children with you the entire time or not, they will be hearing the Word of God in a safe and loving environment. Children’s church is open to kids K-5th grade. We also offer a nursery for Birth-PreK children during the entirety of the worship service.
Discipleship Groups
After our Sunday morning worship service, our church meets in our discipleship groups. We currently offer three classes for kids while adults are meeting in their groups. The classes are as follows: Beechmont Kids 1 (Birth-PreK), Beechmont Kids 2 (K-2nd grade), and Beechmont Kids 3 (3rd-6th grade). All classes are being taught material from a ministry called Truth 78. Currently, Beechmont Kids 1 is going through A Sure Foundation which introduces children to some simple yet profound truths about God. Beechmont Kids 2 and 3 are going through Faithful to All His Promises which teaches children the great & precious promises that God has made to His people.
Wednesday Nights
On Wednesday nights, the children gather together from 6:30-7:30 pm while parents attend our weekly Bible study & prayer gathering. Our Associate Pastor, Christopher Korves, is currently teaching the kids on Wednesday evenings. They sing, pray, and hear a Bible lesson taught during this time. If time permits, they play a game at the end of the period. Currently, lessons are being taught from a book called More Than A Story from Truth 78. This gathering is for children K-6th grade. We also have a nursery option during this time for children Birth-PreK.
